While it did nothing for my calf muscles, I recently had a similar experience sheet mulching with a client. They had saved up newspaper rather than using the more efficient (but less ecco-friendly) method of buying rolls of cardboard. I was dismayed by how windy it was when I arrived. "Oh, but it's always like that here. Hadn't you noticed?" said the client. Apparently not.
I do, however, have lots of nice photos of us frantically holding down the newspapers to keep them from blowing away.
